With 15 years of experience in recruitment and executive search, Matthew has successfully completed over 150+ mandates globally.
Specialising in senior searches, including Partner, VP, and Director-level positions, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table.

Having lived and worked across three continents—North America, South America, and Europe—Matthew is well-versed in the intricacies of executing cross-border and international search mandates. He has previously set up international offices, led hiring teams and has worked on some of the most complex and high value search assignments for Global Corporations, Consulting Firms, and Private Equity Firms.

Matthew's diverse experience spans multiple sectors, with notable focus in Consumer & Retail, Engineering & Manufacturing, Technology, and Consulting.

A graduate of the University of Sheffield with a BA Degree in Politics and Philosophy, he also holds an ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
Why did Matthew launch MJL International? "Establishing MJL International stemmed from my vision to create a boutique executive search firm with a difference. Having worked in this sector for a long time, I've observed prolonged search processes, a lack of diversity in senior appointments, and clients investing significant upfront costs without success. I believe that a new approach is needed. At MJL International, we streamline the search process by eliminating unnecessary complexities, focusing on swift delivery. Our methodology actively promotes diversity, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to challenge outdated network-centric approaches. Ultimately, I want to provide my Clients with an efficient and effective strategy to hire the best leadership talent.
